All Saints Enterprise Day

Today with All Saints School children have been asked to design, create and publicise a market stall related loosely to the theme of Movies! This is part of an enterprise challenge set by All Saints School. The children have been asked to work in groups they have chosen to design and present their stall. Mr Scott will then judge the presentations and select three groups to represent our school on Tuesday 14th July at All Saints Summer Fair (more specific details to follow once the children have been selected).  Prior to this the winners will have the wonderful opportunity to have afternoon with the Head Teacher, Mrs Scott.

We hope you received the letter about our proposed trip to the Jorvik Centre… we see this as an exciting and wonderful learning opportunity as well as being fantastically fun.

Hope to hear from you soon..

All best wishes,

Mr Crabtree and Mr Conway

Static Electricity

After the fantastic visit of Mr Smith into our class with his crazy potato clocks we decided to investigate static electricity which he assured worked better with nylon and especially uber fashionable Roma tops (Sheffield United colours are scientifically known to dampen experiments)…

So here are the results which we later wrote up in our science books.

Viking Invasion of Year 4/5!

This term our topic will all be about those amazing Vikings who started behaving pretty badly (nipping over here and scaring the pants off the Anglo Saxons) before settling down for a while with their ridiculously long facial hair…

So if you want to get ahead of the crowd find out a few facts about the Vikings and things that you would like to learn and we’ll try and tailor the learning to you…

Hope you’ve had a great holiday..

Science Today

Today Mr Smith did a completely amazing experiment where he proved potatoes can power Mrs Smith’s alarm clock.. The class were enraptured.. Mr Conway was wondering whether he could design a machine with potatoes that might help Mrs Conway learn to cook.. Just saying…
