Dear all,

Like wow! What a day… It all started a while ago when the wonderful Mrs Clements suggested a trip away from my favourite school in the universe to visit Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet and I reluctantly agreed…

So we set off on a epic  journey helped by some wonderful ladies who were the most giving people of the universe… Fed only on lattes and the promise if they behaved themselves Mr Marshall wouldn’t play his guitar…

Thankfully we had some people to guide us heroically on our epic journey… Mr Marshall and Mr Brelsford led the way (see illustration below)…

Dear All of Drama Club,

A final (ish) version of the Drama Club Play for this Monday and the performance. We may well need an extra practice on Thursday depending on how things go so can you clear your diaries and cancel your X-Factor auditions etc!

Hope all is good.. A few tickets are still on sale and all profits go to the PTA and to CAFOD so its a worthy thing to be a part of.

Hope your weekend is great and wonderful etc…

Flashier than Fireworks slash Homework your fav!

This Friday saw the rather wonderful culmination of Year Fives assembly focusing on the revolutionary and treasonous Guy Fawkes and his dodgy mob as they tried and ingloriously failed to blow up the Houses of Parliament . A cast of thousands (30) took part and worked to produce a beautifully awesome piece of drama combining dancing to bands as diverse as the Prodigy, The Housmartins and Swedish types called Abba or something which has apparently inspired Miss Kidd to copy the idea for herself. Apart from the DeNiroesque acting skills of the Year Five children special mention should go to the quite wonderful parents who provided costumes at four day notice without sufficiently moaning at the teacher… Mr Conway would also like pay tribute to Mr Allen who stoically remained seated ready to take over DJ duties at the back while he had dry ice and 1000 watts of music attacking him. He, like everybody else was a complete hero!

Reviews were equally favourable and Oliver Hinshelwood noted that “The post-modern interpretation and energetic kinetic energy shone outwardly taking a Kafkaesque story and imbuing it with a mystical energy”. Mrs Mead said it was “Dead Good!”

If anyone would like to e-mail me their photographs we will add to the blog… Thanks once again.
