Our Sponsored Walk in Aid of the Good Shepherd

Standard

The children enjoyed the sponsored walk on Thursday. We will give an update soon of the distance walked in total by Y5, who walked many, many laps and were really proud of themselves. They should be able to tell you the distance they walked. There is a link on Parentpay if you are able to make a small donation to the Good Shepherd Appeal.

Thank you for your generosity.

Good Shepherd Appeal Fundraiser

Standard

On Thursday 21st March, both year 4/5 and year 5 classes will be taking part in a sponsored walk in aid of the Hallam Diocese Caritas Good Shepherd Appeal.

We will be walking laps of the school field and the school yard.

As 3 laps = 1km, we hope that they will be able to walk at least this far, if not further! Because it is likely to be muddy, children may wear P.E. kit. Please can all children bring a change of socks and shoes, or alternatively wellies or other suitable boots on that day. Thank you.

We are not sending out a sponsor form for this event, but contributions can be made via the Caritas Good Shepherd Appeal link on Parentpay, and we can also accept cash donations.

World Book Day

Standard

We have had a great day in year 5. All of the classes throughout the school were given the challenge of decorating their door to a book. After a structured class vote we decided upon two contrasting books. ‘The Explorer’ and ‘Friend or Foe’. At the end of the day we welcomed some parents and grandparents in to read with their children, and celebrate World Book Day.

We all had a great time.
